The Greenfield Township Historical Society was formed in June, 1996 with a focus on preserving historical landmarks and the legacy of Greenfield Township, incorporated in 1816 in rural Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
Their first major project was to move the CARPENTER SCHOOL from its original location to the grounds of the Greenfield Township Municipal Building, Route 106, Finch Hill, Pennsylvania.
Since then, the Historical Society has been active in the community supporting activities and hosting events.
